The Centurion 39 is the American version of the Kalashnikov AK-47. It is is assembled using all new U.S. manufactured parts. It is different from other rifles on the market in that the receiver is machined from an 11 pound block of 4140 ordnance quality steel. The barrel is equipped with a proprietary V shaped Chevron Compensator, designed exclusively by Century. This unparalleled compensator design directs gases upward, which reduces recoil and makes the rifle more controllable. Instead of adjusting for windage from the front sight like other similar rifles, the rear sight is adjustable for both windage and elevation. Other features include a high visibility front sight post and a butt-stock that is 1 inch longer than military style stocks, for better comfort and handling. The upper and lower hand-guard have four Picatinny rails which can be used to accessorize the Centurion 39 with red dot sights, scopes, lights, lasers and a fore grip. I purchased a Century Arms Centurion 39 Sporter from you. Let me tell you as a retired police officer of 30 yrs. and avid sportsman, I have shot and cleaned many rifles & shotguns. This rifle was the easiest to break down and reassemble of anything I have experienced in the past. I have fed apx. 1500 rounds through it. Will, it will “eat” any brand of 762X39! Right from the manufacturer the sights were “dead on” and no need for adjustment. Quite contrary to what you read about with Century Arms on the Internet. The quality of the parts and rifle are exceptional! The recoil is normal for this round and minimal. I can shoot repeated shots and stay on target with no problem. I have added a bipod and sling. Those are the only additions I have made. The picatinny rails (which came installed on the rifle) are a great advantage for future additions. One of which will be a scope, as I get older. Max. right now is 100 yrds. with the iron sights. Can you tell if I am happy yet? Will, could not be happier! This is a fine rifle and great investment. I will continue my plinking with it and just await the zombie horde…..LOL. Do not fear getting more of these to sell!
