DPMS 308 SPORTICAL 16" AR-10

AR-10 type rifles are American 7.62 Nato (308) mm battle rifles developed by Eugene Stoner in the late 1950s at ArmaLite, then a division of the Fairchild Aircraft Corporation. When first introduced in 1956, the AR-10 used an innovative straight-line barrel/stock design with phenolic composite and forged alloy parts resulting in a small arm significantly easier to control in automatic fire and over 1 lb (0.45 kg) lighter than other infantry rifles of the day.[1] Over its production life, the original AR-10 was built in relatively small numbers, with fewer than 10,000 rifles assembled. Here we have the DPMS 16" carbine version of the AR-10. Accurate, sexy, and beaucouup accurate out of the box. Panther 7.62NATO Sportical has a 4140 chrome-moly steel 16" barrel with 6 grooves, right hand 1X10 twist, button rifled with 308 A2 Flash Hider, Koebl Single Rail Gas Block, gas operated rotating bolt, and a 8620 steel bolt carrier. The upper receiver features A3 Style flattop with 308 detachable carry handle, thick walled, extruded from 6066-T6 aluminum, dust cover, and shell deflector. The lower receiver is milled from a solid billet of 6061-T6 with a integral trigger guard standard AR-15 trigger group and aluminum magazine release button. The stock is a DPMS 6 Position Pardus stock and the handguards are carbine length GlacierGuards.
